Deja-Vu (デジャヴ)

Deja-Vu, first called Clashed Ice but soon renamed, was a progressive rock band which was founded in 1984 at the Progressive Rock Club of the Meiji University in Tokyo by Motoi Sakuraba and Genta Kudo, with Tetsuya Nagatsuma joining the year after. In 1987 they were detected by Made in Japan Record's producer Shingo Ueno. Also due to this they played with other bands on several progressive rock concerts in Japan, as well as participated on several progressive rock compilation albums, and in late 1998 Deja-Vu released its first album, Baroque in the Future. However soon after this Tetsuya Nagatsuma left the band, which then stayed in a state of temporary inactivity until Tomoki Ueno and Ken Ishita joined. In 1989 during the development of a second album and further concerts the band suddenly dispersed officially due to differences in the music preferences between the members.
